Report Highlights: Singapore recently announced that excise taxes on alcoholic beverages will be increased 25 percent. Demand for these products is somewhat price inelastic in Singapore, so minimal impact is expected on imports. In 2013, the U.S. exported a record $14.3 million in wine and beer to Singapore, an increase of 9 percent over the previous year.
