Report Highlights: U.S. origin food and agricultural product exports to Peru benefit significantly from the U.S.-Peru Trade Promotion Agreement. Despite Peru’s 2016 economic slowdown, demand for U.S. consumer-oriented foods is forecast to exceed $230 million by year’s end. With a market share of almost 21 percent, the U.S. is a top supplier of consumer-oriented food products. Improving economic growth in 2017-19, will further stimulate demand.
