From California Dreams to Sofia’s Wine Scene

CASAVINO, a leading Bulgarian importer, visited California in April 2022, resulting in partnerships with 10 esteemed wineries. Inspired by the quality and diversity of California’s vibrant wine region, CASAVINO began an annual wine show in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, called Taste California Wines – featuring 51 wines from 15 California producers, including Duckhorn and Francis Ford Coppola. Now in its second year, this event has become a celebration of California’s winemaking heritage and prestige. With more than 350 attendees this year, including media and US Embassy staff, the event fosters connection and elevates the presence of California Wines in Bulgaria.
