Report Highlights: According to a various industry sources, wine consumption in Indonesia has increased by 25 percent annually over the past five years. This is attributed to the expansion of international four and five hotels, and significant growth in up-scale dining establishments. Indonesia is also the home of a burgeoning middle class that is increasingly young, educated and urban. Last year the Government of Indonesia (GOI) adjusted the tariffs and taxes on alcoholic beverages, as well as raised the levels of import quotas and added a number of licensed importers.
